Sorry. Camera was robbed last week with all pics from New Zealand. Insurance won't replace until February. I promise some pics then.
Have a great New Year.

Happy New Year to all the Gang and I have just watched the New Year in on T.v. at Sydney. I hope everybody has a great time if celebrating to night.

I have been away in France and other things and am just about to depart to Tonbridge in Kent for our usual New Year reunion, though the gang is getting smaller alas !!

Best wishes to all

Hi Snowwhite & Gang,

Yes I got the Dunlaoghaire 'All our yestersays' booklet and it is great. As Farmboy rightly says this site is a great memory restorer of our younger days and indeed Anne & Co's booklet is an example. I am sure most site members will remember the names in the book and I even forgot about the blanket factory, totally. Seani Wallace from St Patricks Crescent certainly was a good contributor and it reminded me well of the people first moving into the Mounttown flats way back in 1959-60 with the huge assortment of removal vehicles, from Horses to Tipper trucks, God be with the Days. Haveing aid that we were well p***ed of as we had just lost our huge playground and River as well (Actually a stream but we were small then). Well worth a read guys.

Back home now from Kent and facing work tomorrow after 11 days Ugh!!

So who still has their Christmas decorations up?
In Australia there is a tendency to take them down as early as St Stephens Day (or Boxing Day as they say here). As I write the decorations are being taken down in the office, despite my protestations.
Seen yesterday in the supermarket, Hot Cross Buns.

Isn't it said to be bad luck to take the decorations down before the 6th jan.
Tesco's have Easter Eggs on sale today...

I know the song well, and it is beautiful. A Maori friend of mine is in a choir and I've heard them perform it a few times.
Must check out Angelis.
