Well knock me over with a feather . Years ago when sing songs were a regular occurrence,
I remember someone singing Crochet the arrow and I always wondered what the significance
of a crocheted arrow was as I think the song was about a lover or husband or whoever , going
away. Anyway, last night a friend was talking about this song and I discovered
that it is in fact Croce Di Oro hahahahahahahaaaaaa hellllo

On February 27th I reported our landline wasn't working service was resumed on August 21st what wonderful service from Eir /eircom only six months to fix a line in south county dublin waiting time for a rural area must take two yearsfor the first few weeks nothing but pure guff then a technician to the house then more lies in April I handed the case over to the comunictions regulator who are exelent but also got the run around more lies about having to get a licence from the coco to dig (I was told this in march )no dig ever took place I could go on and on and on again and in the end a way of an apology they offered to upgrade our bundle I told them I have no faith in Eir now so why would I upgrade and settled for financial payment.

Gawd Holla...they would make you lose the will to live.
I love my old land line and we moved everything to Vodafone as the bundle was cheaper but....eir look after the line. We live in a lane and the lines are ancient and every time it rains the line goes. Now the man from eir is great and he comes out to the box which is some way away and fiddles around. The last time he phoned and said all O.K...nothing on the line...I phoned him the next day and when he went out to "the box" it appears the switch wasn't turned on. As far as I can tell the infrastructure is crumbling and the boys are using sticking plaster to get any lines going. I'd say they didn't want to tell you just how hopeless the system is. But, you'd think they would tell the regulator!

I would run a mile Holla.... they are hawking the special 'bundle' deal around south Dublin over the summer and its a very hard sell. They tell you that they are upgrading the cables and you have the opportunity to avail of this early offer if you sign up now (the implication is once they leave the area, the offer goes). I asked the sales guy a few simple questions and he started to look edgy ..... a simple check online showed me that they are way behind on their installations and the people who bought are cracking up at the delays.

I use Virgin and their 240mb bundle is excellent given the level of units running off it. For the last 7/8 years we have our phone through Blueface (an online provider), €99 per year all in. The only downside is you cant use it for your house alarm (but our sis connected to our mobiles) and you have to pay if you want to call a mobile (but most peopel have mobile to mobile deals anyway).

Sadly your story is not unique and Eir are not delivering on their sales promises hence their repairs are suffering as they struggle to balance the two.

Hi All, just wondering if anyone knows the date/year that Moore&Stoker closed it's doors in Dun Laoghaire. One of the guys in work thinks it is into the 1990's, but I reckon early 80's or so. Help???

My guess is early 1990s I only passed the old shop on Monday and read an old planing application dates from 2014 and signed by someone with the surname Lee I wonder are the the same Lee family that owened the department store.

On another note I was in Tesco ballybtack today and looking out at me from the shelves were chocolate Santa's and selection boxes.

Don't think it was Strum, it was another shop close to there. It was painted Blue as I recall, used it once or twice long time ago. Also it is the same Lee family that owned the shop.
