A great find. Hard to believe that people are actually kneeling outside Cullens.

Lovely, but look at the price-list being charged for the use of a pic. €80 per picture

Best of luck Gulliver and if the event is as good as the first showing (from all the great reports)
you may have to take the showing on a county wide tour.
so pack away everything safely.

Gulliver I am only just in.

Sorry I could not make it and really hope you got the audience you deserve for such a terriffic presentation. I had told a number of people lined up to go and as far as I know they did.

Harjoe the presentation I saw had the Workmans Club, Archers, Maloneys Fish Shop (and the little wall outside). There is also a terriffic one of Cumberland Street and you would not recognise it.

If you have not seen it you really would enjoy it.

Harjoe
Your photo taken from the window of Robert Downey Estate Agents ( the Workmans Club, Archers, Maloneys Fish Shop (and the little wall outside))was included and there was great interest in it

NM
I'm sure your friends were there - it was a full house - all seats occupied

Went on to the Music Club for a while - great to hear old songs with real words and to meet Strum & Grammar for first time, not to mention others from the site who were there.

Gulliver,

I know I have seen the presentation three times now but it gets more interesting. Great crowd and we had to retire to Strum's club....great singing.

I want to say a special word of thanks to Hugh at The Pier Inn who gave us the venue free of charge and brought in a load of chairs especially for the night. And after it all, very few stayed on in the Pier Inn for a drink!. It appears that history does not generate a big thirst.

Well done Gulliver.

Enjoyed the 'repeat' every bit as much as the original showing. Its great to hear the audience reaction when you reveal an old image or its modern whereabouts. Sighs and nostalgic murmurs of days gone by.

One depressing aspect - the number of businesses closed, not since 1900, but since your first lecture a few months back.
E.g. Giddy Goose, M&S. So it was fitting that you chose a George's Street location for the presentation.

You might have to book the Gas Company Theatre for the third showing. Yeah - the one behind Elverys of course.
