That's really very good. I'm learning more about science from Strum than I did from Dr. Hill in the Tech.

an article in one of this weeks papers quotes scientists as saying -"that in our lifetimes we will probably find evidence of of earthlike planets on the edges of near solarsystems "
whether there will be life in some shape or form -its too early to say ---

-cos I dont think they've found the earthlike planets yet

the end of an era or the start of a new one???????

Space shuttle Endeavour took for toward the space station today on one of the programme's last scheduled missions. Space shuttle Endeavour took for toward the space station today on one of the programme's last scheduled missions.

The pre-dawn launch with six crew was the last one scheduled to take place in darkness. Only four more shuttle flights are left.

Endeavour is carrying a new room for the International Space Station and an observation deck. These are the last major pieces for the orbiting complex.

The shuttle is scheduled to reach the space station on Wednesday. Its flight was delayed by a day by cloudy weather.

The Obama administration has yet to provide specifics on what happens after the last mission this autumn.

Nasa's back-to-the-moon Constellation programme is a casualty under the new budget plan.

just a reminder folks those of you who are interested 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
can hopefully spend the night and tomorrow night watching shooting stars called The Perseids
they are in fact a meteor shower caused by debris from the Swift-Tuttle comet
catolics used to call these the "tears of St. Lawrence " (yesterday was his martyrdom anniversary)
NASA has said that the event will be "the Highlight of the year"

Wow Grammer another coincidence then.
Last night I saw my first ever "UFO" but declined to post about it. It was a "tiny" Orb that shot over the Dublin Mountains at incredible speed.
Got to have been a Shootin Perseid then you reckon?
Must watch out later tonight. Cheers. :D

I was out in the back until 2 AM and didn't see a thing. They sounded very disappointed on the radio this morning, but not as much as I was  Yer man this morning said that the meteors that will be ????????????????? visable broke away from the main comet during the time of Saint Patrick, yeah right, they couldn't get last night right and expect us to believe they can look that far back with any degree of accuracy.
