Thinking afterwards was it Inter Club rowing regatta rivalry ? I know the Dalkey rowers always wanted to beat St Pats from Raytown, oops sorry Ringsend :shock:

Just picked up my copy of Gulliver's wonderful book. It's quite remarkable on several levels

- presentation & print quality - up there with the best
- structure - contrasting the visible (photos) & invisible (data) is quite masterful
- research scope - the depth of analysis is really impressive.
- variety of themes - I particularly like the way "missed opportunities" is examined.
- photos - luckily for us in this Forum, Gulliver had already shared many of the photos but it was great to see them all again in one neat package. And for newbies to D/L history, it'll be a delight.
