Dun Laoghaire on Wikipedia

Postby Gulliver » Fri Mar 09, 2012 7:42 pm

A notice on Wikipedia is looking for a cleanup of the Dun Laoghaire page.

I wrote some of it in 2008, but it has been amended beyond recognition. How about we clean it up together - and make it into an excellent page? or, at least improve it a bit
1... Are any others of you Wikipedia editors? I can do the editing, but it is usually more acceptable if two writers uupport each other
2... Any suggestions about items that should be added, removed, modified, etc. Note that all info in Wikipedia should be supported by cross references where possible

Gulliver,
You are great to get stuck in. Really admire that. I dont have enough knowledge to be any help but love when I read well researched facts and figures. There must be other historians and scholars out there who would love to help. Come on lads and lassies own up I know loads of you were taking notice at school while I was mitching at Seapoint.

Great idea Strum

I have just looked at the Wikipedia site and the photos need Strumming and Farmboying. You two have such magnificent shots and suggest those old crisp evocative Kingstown ones too. What we need is to attract people to come to DunLaoghaire and get it alive again. The wikipedia should be a lead in and our best foot forward. Put up your link Strum you are the one who has got us taking notice of the great place in which we live and the Dunlaoghaire folk and spirit.
