I think I posted here over the years that I always went to W&D Motors in Sallynoggin for cars and service and was royally treated over the years. I was so sad to see the garage go even though I am delighted to see the Aldi coming on.

Well, the other day I took my car to be serviced at another place and asked if by any chance they knew where the W&D staff were gone. Great news that gentleman Brian Delahunt is now at Carroll&Kinsella, Rock Road Blackrock main Toyota and Lexus Dealers. All is right with the world.

Maybe not. A lot of people from Sallynoggin take the bus to Dún Laoghaire to shop. I'm really looking forward to Aldi.

Anyone know what is happening at the travellers site on corner of Sallynoggin and Rochestown Ave. Was going by yesterday and saw large crane putting a prefab over the wall. I thought those prefabs were banned after the terrible tragedy in Carrickmines. !! Then today as I was driving along Rochestown Ave noticed a large group of unruly boys, generally messing and cycling four abreast down the road.Wonder if they are the boys from the prefab??

There just HAS to be an apartment block squeezed in there somewhere. Bets? :D
I was thinking of Traffic because I often get the bus outside Woodies and see the traffic trying to get out, crazy sometimes, but if you picture it, it wouldn't be too difficult to get another lane in along there down to the lights.

I can't understand why the like of Aldi and Lidl build single stories long buildings. In Vienna all their stores in the centre are on the ground floor and they have built six or seven stories of apartments over the shops, No one thinks anything funny of living over the shop actually we went to stay in an hotel once and it was over a supermarket really handy in the evening for drinks and snacks.
We have to alter our mindset about living in just an apartment or just a house, a multifunctional place is much better with offices and gyms in the same block...a bit of life all the time.

As they say in politics....Eamonn WHO???...his bandwagon or gravy train has departed the station.
