Santa Claus switched on the lights in the village this evening. He came along
Church Road on a pick up of some sort. He got a great reception from all those
gathered at the oblisk! There were carols and Christmas songs from the children
of two of the local schools. A banjo player and a keyboard player. A good time
was had by all. The traders in Ballybrack Village and DLRCoCo deserve a round
of applause for getting the lights in place. Well done all of you.

Thanks Strum, that is a great picture. The excitement of the children last
Saturday was fantastic! Santa was great. Once the traders got into this
project and the funding was underwritten the COCO rowed in, particularly
the Parks Dept. It was well worth the effort.
