Easter Sunday and the most beautiful bell ringing from SS Alphonsus and Columba, Ballybrack. Don't know if this was actual bell ringers or a recording.....but, it was joyful anyway and for a non church goer a tug at the heartstrings.

Anyone have any info on Maddens Cottages, Ballybrack? Were they located near Maddens Lane/Daleview, off Wyattville Road? Can't find anything on Google....they must have been demolished an awful long time ago.

They are on the 25 inch map here

http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,724970,724144,12,9

you can move the overlay and it looks like it is Dale Park nowadays.

That 25 inch map is 1897-1913.

Thanks for that, Rocker.
By the way.....you that's "done" your ancestors; did you ever try using the free family tree template from IrishGenealogy? I can download it, but I'm unable to save any work I do on it....there doesn't appear to be any facility to do so.

Years ago I got a disc from a friend with the Ancestry tree on it. It is very good but with use it has started to fail it is 2005 vintage!! It is spot on and the amount of detail it records is great. I have to replace it as it now won't print. Never heard anyone who used the IrishGenealogy one.

Thanks. Yeah, I've started using Foxit instead of Adobe I'm able to save on that.
