So many good people back them, who had it a lot tougher than us but still had a great sense of pride and humour. May they all rest in peace. And you're right Rocker they would have had some great stories to tell.

Tommy Heffernan was a true football man who managed a good Pearse Rovers team in the 1970s that included a young Paul McGrath ,Tommy progressed to the Dublin Schoolboys League where he moved through the ranks to become Chairman of the largest schoolboys league in Ireland and recently he has been with St Joseph's Boys senior team until his recent illness and his passing will be mourned by so many people all over the country a true gentleman may he rest in peace.

Was at another funeral in Sallynoggin today and somebody mentioned the earlier funeral of Tommy Heffernan. I went to school with Tommy (we knew him as Anthony in school) and in all my years never realised it was the same Tommy. So sad to see another member of my class gone. May he Rest in Peace.

Never knew Hayla but she left great memories for those that did, judging by those of you who remember her every year and long may it last.

It is with immense sorrow that Taylor Galleries announces the death of gallery artist George Potter, who passed away yesterday.
A painter of enormous talent with a character to match, George was a well-known feature of the Irish art scene for many years and a familiar figure in and around his adopted hometown of Dun Laoghaire.
He will be deeply missed and our thoughts are with his family in his native Washington DC and the many friends he has left behind, both in Ireland and beyond.

R.I.P. George, a true Gentleman.
