CRIMMIN Family

Postby Elaine22 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 9:36 pm

Hi

I am trying to find possible relatives of the Crimmin Family who use to live at 22 Eden Villas, Glasthule up until around the 1950's. Their daughter Evelyn Vera Crimmins married a man by the name of Donald Silcock, he was a soldier and was from England. They had two daughters one was called Elizabeth Silcock.

Elaine,
Crimmin is not a very popular local name and I know there is a Tony Crimmons in Dun laoghaire. If you can contact him he may be have some knowledge of a Crimmon in Glasthule.

Hi Elaine,

I was just looking up the 1911 census for a query fom Marcia and I noticed Crimmin family were living in Monkstown Farm in 1911. I know it doesn't answer your question but might be of interest to you.

Not sure if you all can access the Australian ancestry.com.au site This weekend (Queens Birthday Long Weekend in most of Australia) they are offering free access to British records until Monday.

It might be worth a try.

Elaine,

That's wonderful news. I hope you will be able to meet and exchange stories. I put up a posting some years ago on rootschat.com and have been contacted by two distant relatives and we are spending time catching up on the hundreds of relatives we both didn't know we had.
