Hiya JohnD,
As you know I am working off Electoral lists for 1952/1953 and these would only give the names of those who had reached the age of 21 years. Do you know what year Myles Kavanagh married and I will keep an eye on that year (or the year after) to see what changes take place.

Edit
Sorry JohnD, got the names mixed up

Thanks Strum, yeah it's starting to take shape. Grammer and JohnD are going to do Pearse Park and possibly other parts of the 'Noggin so that will put a big hole in the 50,000 or so names :D

That's great Lar, glad it was of some help. I thought I had lost a page when I was putting up the Streets when I noticed there was more houses in Coldwell Street that there were in Findlater Street. Had to go out and have a look and I did last night, first time I took any serious notice of the difference in the houses  Same with the Buildings more on one side than the other, they are listed with even numbers on one side and uneven on the other and when I did the sort it looked ridiculous so posted them as listed.
I think this will finish the working class areas of the Holla with the exception of Carroll's Cottages and will have to make another trip to the Library to check something before I post that.

Just a matter of information the photo of the wedding party out side the church was not the noggin church but St Micheals the reason I know because three of my sisters were married in that church and the photos were taken on the same steps as that one and the door behind was the way into the sacriesty and the bell tower.
By the way hope your trip into the bush in Deans Grange has no grave consicquentes :D :D :D

I am blown away by the work you are doing. Could I help, I can type and am reasonably accurate, into Genealogy and DunLaoghaire.

Bugrock,

This census substitute was done by one of the members for 1953 it shows Crawleys at Coldwell Street and Eden Villas. Put in the street name in the search facility at the top right and it will bring you to the post.

Rocker, great work. I've got a receipt from the Free State Government for 20 pounds(Bloody keyboard has no icon for pounds) in the name of Laurence Crawley 1920 of 28 Coldwell St. He must have moved to 8 Eden Terrace at some time unknown to me. But that means my da was born in Coldwell St (1917 I believe).
I too have discovered my family bred like rabbits. Again great work.

Bugrock,

Have you looked at the 1901 and 1911 census returns ..free on the national archives site census. I couldnt find a Lawerence in Dublin but one in Louth in 1901 and one in Derry in 1911 stationed with RIC. The census is a great time waster. I spend days on it.

Yes thanks. I did look. The Louth family in Marys Lane is the one alright. However the had a boarder in 1901, Mary Campbell 2 years old. She was still there in 1911. Not related I think. Maybe taken in as a baby. Just curious. I think Laurence's father and wife moved to Shankill/Shanganagh with 2? children. One was my grandfathers brother, Frank, whom I met in the 60's. After that the sea is murky.
I can't find Laurence Crawley anywhere in the country for 1901 0r 1911 until Coldwell St 1n 1920. :?

Bugrock,

I tried a different spelling and found a Lawrence living in Co Louth in 1901 1901 census
then in the 1911 there was a Lawrence from Louth a Railway servant working in the RIC barracks in Tyrone
1911 census
I know the ages are a bit askew but mine didn't seem to know their ages either on a fmily search site I found a marriage in 1914
family search
might be some help
