Mini jack tip broken in imput

Postby grammer » Mon Apr 28, 2014 12:50 pm

Im sure it has happened to some of you at one time or another -if not -make a note of this----

this would apply to imput on laptop -PC-mobile -MP3 player
======================
the tip of a mini jack broke off in my aux guitar amp imput

anyway after a bit of panic and google-ing==
all the methods using superglue suggested did'nt work
cos tha aux socket is on the board and closed in -
as a last resort I tried a dab of super glue on the broken mini jack and pushed it into the aux socket and held in in with a little pressure for a couple of mins
a couple of mins and a couple of prayers
-left it for 30 mins -pulled out the jack and da-da-da-dada wuu wuu wuu wuu
the broken tip was attached to the jack --
happy days are here again
saved a couple of bob on that one
sent from my PC and typed on a keyboard (old fashioned black colour) using three fingers

Thanks for the offer Strum
I have a couple of spare cables myself===but you never know when you might need them.

It was the little tip of the jack that was jammed in the imput ;)

Great thinking Grammer!! If you hadn't got that out, you wouldn't have been able to insert another cable.
Good on ya!!!
