Let me know when you uninstall Norton Snowy. Like I said it tends to leave traces of itself all over the place and sometimes conflicts with other AV programs.

Have done both Strum and No Problems so far Thanks for your help.

Did you try the zoom function I suggested in the email?
Have you altered the PC display properties recently or using a different monitor?
How are the other pages, like the photo forums?
Is it just the homepage here or all web pages?
I vant to know all....

Hi Strum,
It is working perfect on this one, a laptop, but on the other one here when grammer first mentioned it I checked it out and it is the very same as he describes. If I am correct I think it happened when the first picture of the foreshore was put up and not the welcome banner. Still think it is great by the way and I think a picture of the lighthouse is the most appropiate emblem for Dun Laoghaire and I hope no one goes off on a tangent by putting up pictures of Pigeon Lofts or something :D :D :D

It wasn't you Grammer, it is a forum issue from my end and it seems it depends on display settings which depends on your / ones, monitor, (I think) so thanks for pointing it out...

Hi Strum and Ted,
Since I got the new computer I have been unable to view the harbour web cams. System keeps telling me that the Axis Media Control ........ .... could not be registered on your computer.

When I googled in Axis Media Control there are a number of people in the same position who understand the technical jargon and have had no success with the advice given so if it's not a simple matter of pressing button 'B' or whatever please don't waste any time on it.
Cheers.

Yes it is safe to download Java Grammer. It is basically used for web pages to interact.

A friend bought an excellent laptop recently for about €500.
I'll find out the make and where she got it.
