I dare say architects have also had lean times since 2008.
Encouraging to see this.

You are dead right there Zirco, my son is an Architect and there hasn't been a lot of work for them over the past few years. He has been lucky and now works for a firm of architects based in Dun Laoghaire, no the one mentioned above.

I'm just helping out some old friends who have opened this Ice Cream / Coffee shop in Church Place. Lovely couple so if you're about why not drop in. ;)

"Top Shops" Sallynoggin, opposite the Church. Fish and chips on the benches in the oval green area and then Ice cream and coffee. That would be a good three course meal outdoors. :D

Sausage in batter with chips, strawberry milk shake.............heaven!

Years ago I worked part-time (after school and Saturdays) in my uncle's shoe repair shop.
I'd cycle home on Saturday night having just got paid. Into Cassoni's to get chips, American Cream Soda lemonade and Lucky Seven? Choccies........bliss!

Bit of a late notice but the Royal Marine are holding an Open Recruitement Day tomorrow 19th September from 5p.m to 6.30p.m. Just bring your C.V and cover letter and a member of management will interview you. All type of jobs. Can't attach the ad here.

Went in and had a look today Holla. Also went into the new Regatta shop where two lovely lads were serving. They couldn't have been nicer to me even though I was only looking around. I welcomed them to the area and said it was great to have a well known brand on Georges Street. He told me they get new stock in every few days. Delighted to see they have stuff for the larger man and woman!!

Good, friendly staff are such an asset to any business...I will be back for the Christmas Pressies....ooops mentioned the "C" word....exterminate!!!!

Yes Holla, I definitely felt a great vibe in the town yesterday. Lots of people around.Someone also recommended the Sunshine café to me but I hadn't time to stop for lunch...next time!

I'm sure I put this up before ...I am going to a great Romanian hairdresser on Patrick Street and she is so refreshing to talk to. She loves the town and best of all she has the most complimentary things to say about the townsfolk. She got help, kindness and friendship from the ordinary folk and says they never made her feel a stranger. Well done the townsfolk to make an inclusive environment where all feel welcome, safe and needed. wuu wuu
