Sorry Cambria, don't see anyone I knew. John Owens cook and Dick Morgan AB are the ones I remember coming to my home in the 1950's and 1960's.

No drama guys - it was just out of interest! Jenny, the name Dick Morgan rings a bell - I'll ask around Holyhead; if its the guy I'm thinking of he had two brothers working on the ships as well.

Hi all,

I've updated the site today with news of efforts being made to preserve the former Holyhead - Dun Laoghaire ferry Dover. The ship was a regular on the route between 1969 and 1981.

If anyone's interested there is a really good framed closeup photo of I think it's the Hibernia... in Bernardos. Box at the front of the counter. It's an original photo, not a postcard, about 12 x 8 inches. ;)

A little bird told me that Cambria is releasing his 25 and last book very shortly, a complete account of the ferry from the very start of the ferry service to 2015. Should be a great read.
