Slipper:

I know all of the females you name. Was talking to Betty Davis a couple of weeks
ago. Haven't seen Ann Gettings in years. Marie Penston worked in RTE haven't
seen her in a while, I think she lives in Greystones.
If I remember correctly the female you are talking about lived on Abbey Road
her name escapes me at the moment, her glasses were really big! Perhaps
Grammer or Denis will be able to put a name to her.
I'll have to go back and look at that Tech photo again.

Can't say I remember her. Long time since I heard the name of Ann Gethins. I seen Marie Penston in Dun Laoghaire about 2 years ago, never seen her in Greystones though.

Sinead. Thanks for the reply, I've since found from another source that her name was Maureen O'Brien and you were spot on Abbey Rd.,also that she was a girlfriend of a friend of yours ie Kevin Massey so I would've had no chance anyway!

Hello Slipper, and welcome. I think that the same Maureen O'Brien went with a mate of mine, Brian Kavanagh, for a while too.

Yeah Skins,

And Tony Brown from Oliver Plunkett Tce., also, I believe... another pretty boy... what chance could a normal looking fella' have? It must have been something to do with the glasses? Anyway that was '59 and I've never seen or heard mention of her since!

Neither have I, Slipper. Nor did I ever hear where Tony Brown ended up. He was a classmate of mine in CBS. He joined the British Army, but was invalided out with ulcers within a year or so. Another classmate, who was a neighbour of Tony's, was Dave Heffernan........never heard any more of him either.

Yeah Skins,

I remember Dave(Biff) Heffernan, he and 'Browner' were big buddies and next door neighbours.

Denis,

It always amazes me when I reflect on my schooldays and realise how few schoolmates I can remember or as in current case that I've not seen or heard of since '59/60 when I left. C'est la vie I suppose!

My heavens, you lot are certainly dredging up names. Haven't heard of
Biffo Heffernan or Tony Brown for years. It is strange how your school
friends are the most important people in your life for years and then
they just seem to fade out.
In a previous post Betty Davis was mentioned, she married Bullet Ryan

Bullet Ryan was another classmate of ours, Sinéad. I would have thought that some of our Farm brethern could tell us something about Biffo and Tony.
